Mike started his career by reaching the finals of the So You Think You’re Funny New Act competition in 2000 and being a finalist of the City Life Comedian of the Year for North West acts the following year and has since entertained audiences in places as far and wide as Hong Kong, Dubai, Oman, Tenerife and Wigan.

His sharp and quick comedic observations have made Mike a much sought after act and a very popular MC.

Taking everyday situations, conversations and events giving them a funny and original spin comes easily to this comedy legend. Mikes friendly and warm stage presence creates an atmosphere which engages the audience.

He has supported such comedy greats as Peter Kay, Johnny Vegas, Ross Noble, Dave Spikey and Jason Manford on their UK tours and has been a member of the Comedy Store’s Manchester-based topical improv group Men at Work.

Overflowing with down to earth Northern charm, Mike has a wonderful laid-back style. The laughs come thick and fast with Wilkinson’s dry humour and razor sharp wit…but hecklers beware, that cheeky grin can lash out and crush a heckler at lightening speed.

In addition to performing Mike is a keen writer of both comedy and comedy drama. He has written for several TV Programmes and other comedians, as well as performing on several TV and radio shows including Gagging For It (Granada), Live From the Albert Dock (Mersey TV) and Running Late (BBC).

As well as being very funny, Mike is also a talented musician and plays the piano and guitar.

Originating in Lancashire, Mike now lives in Cumbria where, when not performing, he likes to get outdoors to enjoy a wide number of interests such as: Fell Walking, Bee Keeping and Bare Knuckle Fighting!
