Steve Bugeja was crowned the 2013 BBC Radio New Comedy Award winner and was a finalist in the Amused Moose and Laughing Horse new act competitions. Steve supported Russell Kane on his national tour ‘Smallness’ and he continues to gig at comedy clubs across the country.He has appeared on Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central on Comedy Central, had his own ‘short’ on BBC 3, as well as appearances on CBBC’s Dog Ate My Homework and Radio 4’s Fresh From The Fringe. In 2015 his debut solo show ‘Day Release’ received rave reviews, with ten 4/5 star reviews.A prolific writer, Steve has contributed material for Mock The Week, 8 out of 10 Cats and Russell Howard’s Good News. In 2012 he won the BBC’s Funny on Three sitcom competition and the BBC’s Jesting About 2 sketch competition. Steve has contributed material to Radio 4’s The Now Show and The News Quiz.
