Winner of the prestigious Edinburgh Best Newcomer Award, a cult podcaster, and now the author of the hugely successful book Happy Fat, Sofie Hagen is the finest laugh-enducing Danish export since Carlsberg.
This award-winning comedian has taken the UK by storm since moving here. Sofie is revered in her home country and in 2012 was chosen to perform at the prestigious 1700+ capacity, Royal Opera House for the Danish Comedy Gala as The New Hopes of Comedy.
Shortly thereafter she moved to London, where she became runner up in both the Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year 2013 and Piccadilly Comedy Club New Act of the Year 2013. She then went on to win the Laughing Horse New Act Of the Year 2013.
In 2015, Sofie took her debut hour show Bubblewrap to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The show received five star reviews and won the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer.
