Sian Davies is a stand up comedian, MC, presenter and comedy writer based in the North West.
She won the award for Best Debut Show at Leicester Comedy Festival in 2020, was runner-up in the Funny Women Stage Award 2019 and the winner of Hilarity Bites New Act Competition 2018. Sian was also a finalist in Manford’s New Act Competition 2019, Beat the Frog World Series 2018, Nando’s New Comedian 2017 and Harrogate Theatre Comedian of the Year 2017. In 2018 she was selected to take part in the prestigious Circuit Breakers showcase at the Leicester Comedy Festival and has provided tour support for Fern Brady.
In 2019, Sian was a recipient of The Hive Award at Greater Manchester Fringe. Her debut show About Time premiered at The Greater Manchester Fringe the same year.
Sian has produced, directed and performed in five successful Edinburgh Fringe compilation shows since 2018 including Comedy Queers, a late night LGBTQIA+ showcase which sold out two years running and About Time/Bully, a split bill show with Thanyia Moore.
She is the driving force behind Best in Class, a crowd funded profit sharing show featuring working class comedians.
Sian has written articles around class and comedy for The Guardian, Chortle and Funny Women, as well as writing for Newsjack (BBC Radio 4 Extra) and has had her sketches featured on And Then She Said A Funny Thing live performance podcast.
