Luke Toulson is an award-winning stand-up comedian who performs at the UKs biggest and best comedy venues, including the world famous Comedy Store where he is a regular member of their topical comedy Cutting Edge team.

He started out as an actor, performing alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, before starring in BAFTA-nominated children’s series Space Pirates and appearing in several independent feature films.

Luke’s love of comedy led him to form the double-act Toulson & Harvey, and within eight months they were nominated for the prestigious Perrier Best Newcomer Award.

His first stand-up gig was in September 2006 and 6 months later Luke won the influential Hackney Empire New Act of the Year competition; previous winners included Stewart Lee and Lee Mack.

Since then Luke has performed seven solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, to much critical acclaim, including being named as one of Amused Moose Comedy Awards Top 10 Comedy Shows at the Fringe.

Luke has appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC), written for the TV shows Stand Up For The Week (Ch 4) and Stand Up For Sport Relief (BBC), and for comedians appearing on Mock The Week (BBC 2) and Live at the Apollo (BBC 2).

He is much in demand as a director having directed several Edinburgh Fringe shows including the multi-character Best Newcomer Nominated Pippa Evans and Other Lonely People.
