With his infectious energy and huge stage presence, it is easy to see why Junior Simpson is a circuit favourite. Junior has a boundless joy and exuberance that has audiences hooked with hilarity. A true observational comic, Simpson finds his humour in the everyday and humdrum with anecdotes of his world travels as a comedian adding a personal originality to his set.
He has worked alongside Jo Brand, Rolf Harris, Frank Skinner and Jonathan Ross.
Junior is probably most famous for his appearance as the DJ in Love Actually, and has a string of TV credits including Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC), The Harry Enfield Show (Sky One), The Stand Up Show (BBC), The Comedy Store (C5), Live at Jongleurs (UK Gold) and you may have seen him on Casualty (BBC) or Holby City (BBC) or when he was on the panel of Big Brother’s Little Brother (C4).
He has also performed in countless festivals including V Festival, Leeds Comedy In The Park, Carling Weekend, Reading Festival, Leeds Festival, Brighton Festival, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Leicester Comedy Festival, Birmingham Comedy Festival, Liverpool Comedy Festival, Ealing Comedy Festival and the Vodacom Funny Festival in Cape Town.
