Jonny began comedy at University and while he was there he achieved runner-up in both the coveted So You Think You’re Funny competition and The Chortle Student Comedy Awards. Since graduating university Jonny has continued to impress and was a finalist and the judges choice in the BBC Radio New Comedy Awards, as well as being nominated for Chortle Best Newcomer in 2014.

As a multi-nominated and award winning act Jonny is highly regarded in the comedy industry as one to watch.

Over the last few years he has appeared on Live from the BBC (BBC3), Russell Howard’s stand-up Central (Comedy Central) and Live at the Apollo (BBC2).

Jonny is also an in-demand comedy writer and actor having appeared in the Viceland series, Bobby & Harriet Getting Married, as well as his own short film released as part of the Sky Comedy Shorts season, Late Bloomer (Sky Arts). Jonny is currently developing a number of projects, both scripted and unscripted for TV and has written and starred in his own Channel 4 comedy Brad Boyz.

With three critically acclaimed solo shows under his belt, Before and After (2015) Fool’s Paradise (2016) and Just Shout Louder (2017) Jonny has a number of up-coming television projects in the pipe-line, including a presenting debut and bookings to write across a number of television projects.

Jonny’s most recent critically acclaimed Edinburgh Festival show Off Limits saw him winning the Beyond The Fringe Herald Angel Award. It received ample praise, critical acclaim and five star reviews, The Herald describing it as an ‘intensely moving and consistently funny set’, while EdFestMag calls it ‘a truly remarkable show’.
