Born and bred in Glasgow, Christopher Macarthur-Boyd is a rising star of Scottish stand-up.

The last twelve months has seen Christopher take his critically acclaimed debut show Home Sweet Home to the Edinburgh Fringe – ‘a debut hour that seems endlessly enjoyable’ (The Skinny). The show was officially the best reviewed of any Scottish stand up at the Fringe in 2018. Christopher followed this success up by winning Best Breakthrough Act at the 2019 Scottish Comedy Awards.

Christopher has recently appeared as a team captain on BBC Two Scotland’s Whiplashed, fronts the BBC Scotland sketch series Up For It, and recently hosted BBC Scotland’s The Comedy Underground.

He is a prolific contributor to the BBC’s Short Stuff as a writer, performer and director and has also made appearances on BBC Radio One’s 24 Hours, 4 Extra Stands Up at the Edinburgh Fringe and BBC Radio 4’s Fred at The Stand.
