The Stage

Irishman Andrew Ryan made his comedy circuit debut in 2008 when he spontaneously entered an open mike contest. Fast-forward to 2018 and he is now one of the most sought-after comics in recent years, in demand as a headliner and an MC at the biggest comedy clubs and festivals across Ireland and the UK.

Andrew’s storytelling abilities and cheeky, friendly demeanour makes him a natural observational stand-up.

In 2018 he won Best New Show at The Leicester Comedy Festival with his show Is Everything Alright at Home? Andrew will be returning to the Edinburgh Festival with this show in 2020.

Andrew has been tour support for Jason Manford and will also be opening for John Bishop on his next tour.

He has appeared on many TV shows in the UK & Ireland including Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC3), Best of the Edinburgh Festival Live (BBC3), The Blame Game (BBC 1), Live at The Comedy Store (Comedy Central), Live for MIND (Comedy Central) and The Six O Clock show (TV3 Ireland).

He has made contributions to Golf’s Funniest Moments, Crickets Funniest Moments, When Chat Shows Go Wrong all for Sky 1 and The Line-out (Virgin Media One Ireland).

Over in Ireland, Andrew performs regularly in Dublin and has been invited to perform at Kilkenny Cat Laughs Festival, Ivy Gardens in Dublin and the Galway & Cork Comedy Festival.

In October 2019 he packed out the Everyman Palace Theatre in his home town for his solo show and is returning in 2021.
