Amy Gledhill is a comedian, actor, writer and winner of The BBC Caroline Aherne Bursary. Also one half of surreal comedy double act, The Delightful Sausage which was nominated at the Edinburgh Festival for the Best Show Award 2019.

Known for her unique mix of everyday observations and off-beat tangents, Amy is a multi-award winning comic brimming with natural warmth and charm. Her comedy is a unique blend of confessional stories, intelligent observations and ridiculous, off-beat daftness and she was selected as a participant for BBC Writers Room – Comedy Room development scheme 2018/2019.

In 2019, she landed a leading role in Radio 4’s, Phil Ellis is Trying and will soon be on our screens playing Susie in Mike Barlett’s latest drama, Life on BBC One. She has written for CBBC’s, BAFTA award-winning series Class Dismissed as well as being invited into various writers rooms for exciting, new projects spanning many channels.

She has also appeared on The One Show (BBC One) Harry Hill’s Clubnite (Channel Four) Romesh Presents: Anna Mann (Sky Arts) The Joy of Missing Out (More Four) and The Delightful Sausage Quickie (BBC Three).

She has been tour support for Sophie Hagen, Angelos Epithemiou, Lucy Beaumont, Jess Fostekew and Jen Brister.
